#Empathy is the understanding of another person’s experience by visualizing oneself in their situation.
Empathy can be
· #Self-empathy requires better self-awareness, self-discipline, and compassion. Self-empathy is the acknowledgment that, like all human beings, I also deserve understanding and compassion.
· #Emotional empathy is also known as personal distress or emotional contagions having a high emotional attachment.
· #Cognitive Empathy is also referred to as perspective-taking, which provides the idea of putting ourselves in someone else’s shoes.
We, as humans have a natural predisposition to developing empathy. However, social, cultural, and environmental factors strongly influence where, how, and to whom it is expressed.
Empathy enables us to connect with another person, make them feel that they are being understood.
